It’s not that often that I walk into a bar, and love it instantly…but that was the case last Saturday during our visit to the Fourth Ave Pub. The bar isn’t large, but big enough…very dimly lit and kind of romantic (lots of candle light) for a bar that seems to specialize in beer. I have to say that the bartender we had was the best bartender that I have encountered in sometime (knowledgeable and friendly).
We had some fine beers including a cask of Heavy Seas Imperial Stout, Slyfox Odessey IPA, and glass of Samichlaus that was poured from a year old keg that was aged in house (I haven’t seen this done since Collins Bar). There is a full bar available for when you are in the mood for something other than beer.
Free Popcorn, the Jukebox, and Pacman machine are all added bonuses.
I’m going to make sure to stop by when ever I go see a movie at BAM. Definitly one of the best bars in New York.
