Everyone talkes about Magnolia Bakery’s cupcakes, but I have to say that I think that place is highly over rated.  I have tried several different baked goods from that famous bakery, and it always leaves me wanting more.

If you want to try some of the best cupcakes in town all you need to do is take a trip to the Lower East Side and check out Sugar Sweet Sunshine.

We stopped in this past weekend and had a pistachio and a chocolate frosted red velvet.  Both were were very delicate and delicious.  I had never had a red velvet cupcake with chocolate frosting before, but I can say it was one of the best cupcakes I have ever had. One of the few places that can get a perfect cake to frosting ratio.  The staff was nice, and although it was busy in the little bakery we were able to get a seat and enjoy their wonderful baked goods.
