brouwerij lane opens

I have been talking about Brouwerij Lane for quite some time now, and yesterday as we were walking to Brooklyn Label for dinner we noticed a sign outside.  We walked over, and to our surprise they were open for business!   We stopped in and picked up a grower of Ommegang’s Hennepin for only $10!  It was a wonderful accompaniment to our dinner.  I’m really excited about this store, and extremely happy that I no longer have to lug my growlers back from Manhattan.

Brouwerij Lane has 10 taps and growlers are $10 each.  The Raven Import Brands are well represented (including the not too often seen Jever Dark!) as well as some of the more rare Sierra Nevada seasonals (like the ESB), Sixpoint brews (currently the Righteous Rye), and Dogfish Head’s wonderful 60 Minute IPA!

When I got home tonight I had a really nice email from Erik, one of the guys from Brouwerij Lane, in my email box.

Brouwerij Lane

will be throwing a grand opening party on Saturday, March 21st from 1-8 or so.  It is open to the public and we will have delicious goulash, various wursts, and our 10 taps will be flowing with a selection of beers from around the world for tasting and taking home in our growlers.  We currently have over 150 types of bottled beer, and want to welcome our Greenpoint neighbors who are beer drinkers, beer lovers, or just want to come by check the place out.

Erik, thanks for the email!  I’m really excited about the store, and will be stopping in next weekend, as well as before to pick up growlers!  Welcome to the neighborhood!  We needed a beer store, and now we have one!

Greenpointers get your growlers the taps are flowing!
