north brooklyn pinball directory

This is a directory of all of the Pinball Machines that I have found (and, ideally, played) in North Brooklyn.

I was inspired to do this after riding my bike to Daddy’s, checking out the machine (it looked like it worked), asking for change specifically for the pinball machine, and ordering a beer only to find out that both of the coin slots were jammed.  Total Fail.   I sat there and finished my beer quickly, and went immediately to find another machine.

It will be in alphabetical order by establishment,  and list what I consider vital info:

Location: Where it’s located
Machine: Type of Machine
Price: Self Explanatory
Level:
Typically machines have levels on the side, so you can see if the game is fair. (see right)
Condition: Does it work, and any additional info.

Machines that I play that are in other geographical locations will be found at the bottom of this page.

This is just the beginning.

Click on photo of the machine to go to the original post about it (which is dated stamped around the time the machine was played).

North Brooklyn: Williamsburg & Greenpoint

Daddy’s
435 Graham Ave
(between Frost St & Richardson St)
Brooklyn, NY 11211
  • Machine: Indiana Jones
  • Price: 75 cents per game (three games for $2)
  • Level: ???
  • Condition: Broken (8/27/09).  Was told that they are going to get a new one.
Enid’s
560 Manhattan Ave
(between Driggs Ave & Nassau Ave)
Brooklyn, NY 11222
  • Machine: Fun House
  • Price: 50 cents per game
  • Level: No Level. Probably a little steep.
  • Condition: In good working order. Fast old machine. (8/27/09)
The Levee
212 Berry St
(at N. 3rd Street)
Brooklyn, NY 11211
  • Machine: Batman
  • Price: 75 cents per play, or 3 for $2 (takes dollars and quarters)
  • Level: Not level at all.  This machine is really fast (not in a good way)
  • Condition: The machine in playable, but not all features work.  Scoring seems accurate, but the machine is not fair.
  • Notes: The machine in not level, and wobbles (a lot).  This machine is just not up to par.  Satellite Lounge has an identical machine, and it is one of my favorites.

Mark Bar
1025 Manhattan Ave
(between Freeman St & Green St)
BrooklynNY 11222
  • Machine: Indiana Jones
  • Price: $1 per play, or 3 for $2 (takes dollars and quarters)
  • Level: Almost completely level.
  • Condition: The machine works well, no problems.  It’s old, but seems to be in good condition.
  • Notes: I got a free game without notification…that’s always a plus.  You can’t see the machine when you walk in, but is located in a little space that probably used to be used for a dart board (actually it is right next to where the dart board is). The machine as a whole was not that exciting.

Mugg’s Ale House
125 Bedford Avenue
(between 10th St & 11th St)
Brooklyn, NY 11211
  • Machine: Family Guy
  • Price: 50 cents per game (5 games for $2.  Great Deal!)
  • Level: Almost completely level, just a little steep.
  • Condition: Perfect.  New Machine.  All bonuses seem to work (including a mini pinball bonus).

The Satellite Lounge
143 Havemeyer St
(between 1st St & 2nd St)
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Five Pinball Machines !  Satellite Lounge is Brooklyn’s Best for Pinball! (I didn’t have my camera with me, so I will post better pictures after my next visit).

  • Machine 1:
    • Lord of the Rings
  • Price: 50 cents per game
  • Level: Almost level, just a little steep.
  • Condition: Perfect.  New Machine.
  • Machine 2:
    • Twenty Four
  • Price: 50 cents per game
  • Level: Almost level, just a little steep.
  • Condition: Perfect.  New Machine.

  • Machine 3:
    • Batman
  • Price: 75 cents per play, or 3 for $2 (takes dollars and quarters)
  • Level: Perfect!
  • Condition: Perfect.  New Machine.  All bonuses work…if you lose quickly on a ball it gives you another one…one of the best machines I’ve played!
  • Machine 4:
    • Simpson’s Pinball Party
  • Price: 50 cents per game
  • Level: Perfect!
  • Condition: Perfect.  New Machine.  All bonuses work.
  • Machine 5:
    • Taxi
  • Price: 50 cents per game
  • Level: ???
  • Condition: ????
  • Notes: Only machine that does not accept dollar bills…will try it out next time I’m there.

Tommy’s Tavern
1041 Manhattan Avenue
(between Freeman St & Green St)
BrooklynNY 11222

  • Machine: Wheel Of Fortune Replaced with Big Buck Hunter.  Fucking sad.
  • Price: 75 cents per play, or 3 plays for $2
  • Level: Almost completely level.
  • Condition:  The machine is old, but works.  We had some problems with balls getting stuck, and four balls during a multiball getting suck in the launcher…but were able to fix it ourselves.
  • Notes: Dispite this machine having some issues it was a really fun machine.  Tommy’s Tavern isn’t a place I typically go, but it would be worth it for a round of pinball now and then.

Zabloski’s
107 N 6th St
(between Wythe Ave & Berry St)
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Two Machines:

  • Machine 1:
    • Indiana Jones
  • Price: ???
  • Level: ???
  • Condition:???
  • Machine 2:
    • Sopranos
  • Price: ???
  • Level: ???
  • Condition: ???
  • Notes: Saturday night is not a good night for pinball.  Waited 15mins, and didn’t even get a drink…will go back at another time to play.

Not Brooklyn:

Manhattan (click through to see my post about the machine):

Outside of the City:

I recently visited the Silver Ball Museum (the Pinball Hall of Fame) in Asbury Park, NJ! Read my review here, or watch my slide show:

Establishments/pinballs to come:

  • Bruar Falls
  • Satellite Lounge
  • Boulevard Tavern
  • any others let me know (and I’m always on the look out).

Other notes:

  • Forest Natural in Greenpoint no longer has a pinball machine.
  • Lulu’s (formerly Lost and Found) also no longer has pinball.
    • they do have a Pac-Man machine though.
  • Tommy’s Tavern has replaced pinball with big buck hunter.

there’s one at the Levee on north 3rd and berry. it’s batman, and i believe it’s 3 plays for 2 bucks. in good working order since i was there last week.

  2. Neil Says:

Forest Natural on Norman, Greenpoint has a Playboy pinball machine, will investigate and report back.

The last time I played the table at Daddy’s, it was broken and kept spitting every ball in the machine onto the track- I appreciate a multiball every now and then, but when there’s 20 balls on the table you can’t seem to keep any of them alive!

  3. Jeff Says:

Don’t forget Barcade, obviously. Also, Tommy’s on Manhattan has a good board, but I forget what kind.

  4. tom Says:

Thanks Jeff for the tip about Tommy’s! but as for Barcade…they do not have pinball. It is a great place for video games, but no pinball anywhere to be found.

  5. Jay Says:

Jeff above mentioned Tommy’s Tavern (Manhattan at Freeman) but didn’t remember what game it is. It’s Wheel of Fortune.

  6. Jane Says:

sometimes boulevard tavern at 579 (?) meeker has pinball. the last time i checked it was the simpsons, but that was awhile ago. worth checking again!

  7. Adam Says:

In Greenpoint, the Mark Bar has Pirates of the Carribean (hidden in the back, and too expensive now), and Tommy’s Tavern (Freeman & Manhattan) has Wheel of Fortune (haven’t tried it yet, though.) Thanks for this, great resource.

  8. Adam Says:

Oh, and the bar kitty-corner to Pencil Factory had The Simpsons last time I was there, but that was at least a year and a half ago. It also had a weird payout structure, no free games, instead you rebuy balls.

  9. Lauren Says:

@Zabloskis- Sopranos is $.50/game & Indiana Jones is $.75/game (totally worth the extra 25 cents!)

@Forest Natural- last time I tried to play it was broken.. they were pissed because they just had a guy come out to fix it.

Also, check out this popular mechanics article on Pinball! http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/industry/4328211.html

  10. Twin C Says:

Fantastic list! Thank you! Someone needs to tell the Barcade guys that they need to open up Pinbar as soon as possible.

  11. Schlomo Says:

Satellite has a really good selection of games going on right now. Lord of the Rings is good, sticks sometimes but is really fun. 24 is a new machine and works really well, not crazy about the play field though. The simpsons party is pretty good but difficult. They also have some older one thats 5 balls for 50c which is a good deal. Bruar falls has Attack from Mars which is too expensive and kind of a boring game.

  12. Jeff Says:

Correction: Tom, you’re right; finally made it to Barcade this wkend for the first time in many months… no pinball to be seen. Could’ve sworn there was one in that nook near the bathrooms… ah well.

  13. Seth Says:

This is a great compendium. Manhattan has become a dead zone for pinball, Ace Bar in the E Vill has a couple machines but that’s about as good as it gets. Great pics from SIlverball….there’s a similar place in a strip mall in Vegas http://www.pinballmuseum.org

I love your site!. Thanks!. I don’t know if you saw Monster Bash went into Mugs, and replaced Family Guy, which replaced Taxi(retired) at satellite. I will be putting out a nice No Good Gophers in the near future, then a Bram Strokers Dracula.
I put my collector quality FunHouse in Enid’s, and took out the nice one that was there and will turn that one into a prestine game with new repro playfield, plasatics, cabinet art, etc. The price was raised to $.75, still cheap for a better playing game. It also has new repro playfield, etc, and plays like it.

  15. pinaholic Says:

No Good Gophers will be in my possin in a couple of weeks and will be prepared for Satellite.
